A 20-year-old Cimarron man was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle accident in rural Gray County, about 7 miles west of Cimarron.

Trevor Lee Miller, 20, of Cimarron, was stopped in a 1994 Dodge pickup in the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 50 waiting to turn left into a feedlot at about 6:45 a.m., when a westbound 2009 Chevy pickup driven by Carlos Omar Garcia, 43, of Cimarron, came up behind Miller’s vehicle, failed to slow down and struck Miller’s vehicle, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Miller, who according to the KHP was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to St. Catherine Hospital. Garcia, who also was not wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
