The Finney County Clerk's Office has received several reports of text messages, some claiming to be from President Donald Trump, that tell recipients their vote has not been recorded on Kansas' roster, ask them to vote for GOP candidates and instruct them to click an attached link.

Finney County Clerk Dori Munyan said other residents had shown similar anonymous text messages urging recipients to vote. Regardless of the format, she said, residents should not click on the link. If they are concerned about their vote, they can reach out to the clerk's office, 311 N. Ninth St., either in person or by calling (620) 272-3890.

Advance voting in Finney County began Wednesday at the clerk's office. The office will hold extended hours, open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Nov. 1 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.
