A 14-year-old student was arrested Thursday morning at Jackson Heights High School north of Holton in connection with three counts of criminal threats.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office made the arrest, saying the student was alleged to have communicated threats towards specific students.

In a news release, the agency said deputies and investigators interviewed witnesses.

Jackson Heights is about 35 miles north of Topeka on US-75 highway.
