One man was arrested and police found suspected drugs during a search of a Leavenworth residence, a police spokesman said.

The search warrant was served at 2:20 p.m. Friday at a residence in the 1100 block of Ottawa Street.

The search warrant was served by members of the Leavenworth Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team. Other members of the department conducted the search.

A 32-year-old man was arrested at the residence on a warrant for a charge of distribution of methamphetamine, according to Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.

Two other people who arrived at the same time as the police were detained. But Nicodemus believes both were later released.

During the search, police found suspected methamphetamine, hallucinogens and prescription pills.
