A mobile home sustained about $13,000 in damage in a fire last week in which no one was hurt.

Garden City Fire Department Chief Allen Shelton said firefighters arrived on scene at a mobile home at 3372 W. Jones Ave. at about 2:05 p.m. Sept. 24. The home was occupied by Carlos Cruz, who was in the process of moving, and was owned by Kraig Ransonette, Shelton said.

Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours, Shelton said. At about 11 p.m., they returned to the scene after the fire rekindled and left two hours later at about 1 a.m. Sunday, he said.

Shelton said there were no injuries, but the structure did sustain significant property damage, including a loss of $10,000 from the structure and $3,000 from its contents.
