A representative of the Kansas State Treasurer’s Office will host a seminar about the Learning Quest 529 Education Savings Program on Thursday at the Finney County Public Library, explaining how families can use the program to reduce student loans.

Scott Gates from the treasurer's office will speak at 7 p.m. According to a press release from Garden City USD 457, the Learning Quest program offers tax advantages, including tax return deductions and tax free earnings and added benefits for families with incomes less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level.
