Crews are expected to begin a scrub seal project on Kansas Highway 25 from the U.S. Highway 50/K25 junction in Lakin north to the south Leoti city limit on Thursday.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane controlled by flaggers and a pilot car. The Kansas Department of Transportation urges drivers to pay attention to all work zone warning signs, slow down when approaching a work zone and be prepared to stop.
Heft and Sons of Greensburg is the contractor on the $1.2 million project, which is expected to be completed in late September.
