Caleb Sekavec, senior vice president of the First National Bank of Syracuse, recently was named a 2018 Rising Star in Banking by NorthWestern Financial Review/BankBeat magazine.

Sekavec started his career at First National Bank more than 10 years ago, beginning as a credit analyst. He now handles the largest loan portfolio at the bank, said Chris Floyd, president of First National Bank, in his nomination letter.
Sekavec was one of seven bankers being recognized in 2018 as a Rising Star in Banking, and the only one from Kansas.
Candidates for Rising Stars in Banking recognition must be younger than 45 and can hold any position in the bank, from teller to president. Mid-career bankers working in Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wisconsin or Wyoming are eligible for consideration.
