A Satanta teen was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Stevens County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 17-year old Brandon Salas was eastbound on County Road Y in Stevens County in a 2014 Buick Enclave at about 3 p.m. Tuesday, when he failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with a 2018 Western Star Power Unit driven by 72-year old Kenneth Luebbe of Seward, Nebraska, who was southbound on Kansas Highway 25.

Salas, who according to the KHP was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Luebbe, who also wasn't wearing a seat belt, was injured and taken to Stevens County Hospital.
