Beverly Jean Hardgrove Eastes, also known as “Aunt Bev” and “BJ”, passed away May 29th, 2018, just a few months short of her 90th birthday. She was born in Pratt, Kansas on August 12, 1928 to Alton Hardgrove and Marguerite Dunn Hardgrove.

She went to Pratt High School and then became a registered nurse in 1949 after graduating from St. Paul’s Hospital School of Nursing in Dallas, Texas. She married Russell Jr. Eastes on October 2nd, 1949 and was by his side for 62 years until he passed away in 2011. Beverly worked along side Russell in multiple family businesses including a grocery store, meat market and diner for the majority of her life. After retiring and moving to Texas in 1988, Beverly worked as a home health certified nurses aid until the age of 79. She enjoyed playing Bingo and listening to music while living at Mayberry Gardens Assisted Living, which is where she lived up until her illness. She was on hospice at Renaissance Park Nursing Care Center in Fort Worth, Texas at the time of her passing.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her husband, Russell; sister, Maxine Scholl; son, Greg Eastes and daughter, Gay Seyfert.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Alison Seyfert of Fort Worth, Texas; son in law, Ted Seyfert of Rockwall, Texas and a host of extended family.
