Two Finney County businesses were hit by burglars earlier this month, each losing several thousand dollars in property damage and stolen equipment, according to the Finney County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff’s deputies responded on May 21 to one of the businesses, Tek-Vet at 9905 E. 5th Port Drive, which they believed was burglarized sometime since May 8, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.
During their investigation, deputies were advised that the nearby business, Dan-Nan at 9940 E. U.S. Highway 50, had been burglarized during the same time frame.
Tek-Vet reported $8,320 in stolen computer equipment and televisions and $2,000 in damage to a metal storm door the perpetrator reportedly used as an entrance to the establishment. Dan-Nan lost an estimated $2,505 in stolen tools and electronic equipment and $820 in damage to several doors and a window.
The investigation is ongoing, and no suspects have been identified.
