Billy Ray Williams, 65, of Wellington, died Tuesday, May 15, at Via Christi - St. Francis in Wichita.
Billy was born the son of Clifton Dean and Christeen F. (Taylor) Williams on Wednesday, February 25, 1953 in Hobart, Oklahoma.
On August 19, 1972, Billy and Barbara Ann Shobe were united in marriage in Wellington.  Together they celebrated nearly 20 years of marriage before her  passing on May 20, 1991.
Following his graduation from Wellington High School, Billy began his career in aircraft. He worked at Boeing Aircraft / Spirit Aerosystems for over 43 years and retired in 2015. While working and raising his family, Billy also served in the Army National Guard and retired after 20 years of service.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Rains of Wellington; grandchildren, Jessica Rains of Wellington, Drake Rains of Wellington, and Timothy White of Wichita; great-grandchildren, Jeanae Louise Young of Medicine Lodge, Jayden Lee West of Wichita, Jordan Lynn West of Wichita, and a brother, Bobby Williams and his wife Merry of Wellington, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Williams; parents, Dean and Christeen Williams and his sister, Patricia White.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018 with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services for Billy will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2018 in the chapel of Cornejo|Day Funeral Home, Wellington.
Interment will follow at the Bethany Cemetery in Perth.
Memorial funds have been established in his loving memory to the Bryce Day Memorial Foundation, American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warrior Project. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
