SKO/KO Railroad will begin railroad crossing repairs to the Kansas Highway 96 crossing in Lane County Tuesday.
K-96 will be closed from the Kansas Highway 23 junction in Dighton to the U.S. Highway 283 junction in Ness City during the repairs, which are expected to be completed by Sunday, weather permitting.
A detour will be in place carrying eastbound traffic north on K-23 from Dighton to Kansas Highway 4, east on K-4 to U.S. 283, south on U.S. 283 to K-96 in Ness City. Westbound traffic will take U.S. 283 north from Ness City to K-4, west on K-4 to K-23 and south on K-23 to Dighton.
