Sheriff’s Office Arrests

• 3:06 p.m. Sunday, 4000 block of I-35, Wellsville, Dustin Seeser, 34, Blue Springs, Missouri, for felony flee and elude after leading deputies on a short motor vehicle pursuit, according to a sheriff’s report.

• 8:44 p.m. Sunday, Franklin County Adult Detention Center, 305 S. Main St., Leslie Rowden, 45, Lawrence, on suspicion of criminal damage to property, after he damaged a remote to a television at the Franklin County jail.

• 10:37 a.m. Tuesday, Franklin County Adult Detention Center, 305 S. Main St., Sara Drayer, 20, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant for failure to appear.

• 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, 200 block of North East Avenue, Williamsburg, Tiffany Fernandes, 26, Williamsburg, on suspicion of trespassing.

• 6:26 p.m. Tuesday, Franklin County Adult Detention Center, 305 S. Main St., Brandon Miller, 31, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant for probation violation.

• 10:01 p.m. Tuesday, 3600 block of Idaho Road, Pomona, Philip Guyle Jr., 24, Pomona, on suspicion of possession of stolen property, reckless driving, expired driver’s license, and numerous traffic infractions, after being located and stopped for operating a stolen 1990 GMC pickup.

• 2:59 p.m. Tuesday, 700 block of Pecan Street, Brandon Miller, 31, Ottawa, on suspicion of aggravated battery (domestic), possession of meth with intent, possession of marijuana with intent, possession of paraphernalia and cruelty to animals, after a disturbance with a known Ottawa woman.

• 4:55 p.m. Monday, 4400 block of Ellis Terrace, a Lane man reported his 16-year-old son was damaging items in the home and being unruly. The teen was taken in as a child in need of care. A charge of criminal damage to property will be forwarded to the Franklin County Attorney’s Office.

Thefts

• 11 a.m. Monday, 1900 block of Idaho Road, Williamsburg, a 49-year-old Williamsburg woman reported a known person used her personal information between the years of 2014 and 2016 for a utilities plan in Kansas City, Missouri.

• 9:34 a.m. Tuesday, Franklin County Courthouse, 315 S. Main St., the county treasurer’s office reported someone altered a $5 refund check intended for a 75-year-old Baldwin City woman and deposited it at a bank in Lawrence for $1,182, according to a sheriff’s report. The case is under investigation.

Accidents

• 9:25 p.m. Sunday, 3000 block of John Brown Road, Princeton, a 1997 Chevrolet Astro driven by Arthur Morgan, 48, Waverly, was westbound on John Brown Road when it struck a calf that was standing in the roadway. No injuries were reported.

• 9:20 a.m. Monday, 2900 block of I-35, Ottawa, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 driven by Orvin Kuhlmann, 79, Wichita, was northbound when the steering malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to wreck in the ditch. No injuries were reported.

• 10:30 p.m. Monday, 1000 block of South Main Street, a 32-year-old Ottawa woman reported a 17-year-old youth as a runaway. The teen was later located.

Thefts

• 1:05 p.m. Monday, 700 block of Lincoln Street, a woman reported that known suspects stole items from her residence.

• 8:39 a.m. Tuesday, 1300 block of Dogwood Street, a 32-year-old Ottawa man reported his identity was stolen.

Accidents

• 12:23 p.m. Monday, 300 block of North Main Street, Jean Komala, 74, Ottawa, reported an unknown suspect struck her 2003 Ford, causing damage, and left the scene.

• 4:13 p.m. Monday, 500 block of East Logan Street, a 2000 Chevrolet driven by Zachary Stringer, 18, Ottawa, struck a 1994 Dodge driven by Thomas Love, 71, Ottawa. No injuries were reported. Stringer was issued a citation for inattentive driving and no proof of insurance.
