St. Catherine Hospital will host five Look Good….Feel Better workshops throughout 2018 to help local women feel better about their appearance and situation while fighting cancer.

On top of the physical and emotional concerns of the disease itself, the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment can be devastating to a woman’s self-esteem. The free programs provide female cancer patients with a high-quality make-up kit and offer sessions on beauty techniques for patients’ skin, complexion and nails that were changed due to cancer treatment. Volunteer beauty experts will demonstrate how to manage hair loss using wigs, turbans, scarves and accessories.

All workshops will be held at the Breast Center at St. Catherine Hospital, inside Heartland Cancer Center, 410 E. Spruce St. They will run from 5 to 7 p.m. April 16, May 21, Au. 20, Sept. 17, and Nov. 19. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Call (620) 640-1022 for more information.
