The Pioneer Health Network, a group of 19 western Kansas hospitals that collaborate and pool resources, will host its 2018 Annual Conference for Hospital Boards Thursday at the Clarion Inn and Conference Center in Garden City.
A social hour is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., with the program running from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The one-evening conference will feature healthcare experts from Kansas and beyond. Keynote speaker Kim Bordenkircher, a national speaker for The Studer Group and CEO of Henry County Hospital in Napoleon, Ohio, will discuss good governance practices of hospital boards and CEOs. The conference’s other speaker, Cindy Samuelson, vice president of public relations and political fundraising at the Kansas Hospital Association, will update attendees on state and national healthcare legislation and discuss the association’s educational resources.
Aimed at hospital trustees, CEOs, administrative and management staff and area legislators, the conference will include a social hour with drinks and snacks, dinner, door prizes, speaker presentations and a question-and-answer session with Bordenkircher and Samuelson. Registration is currently closed.
