Garden City Community College will have an ACT prep class on March 24. The purpose of the class is to help students prepare to take the ACT test as it offers strategies for increasing ACT test scores, which in turn helps with scholarship applications and college admission.
Students will learn valuable information about the ACT test as a whole, and the class will cover how to master test-taking techniques. The class will also cover individual tests within the ACT, including English, math, reading and science.
Parents can register along with their student and have the opportunity to take the “Planning for College Parent Workshop” to learn more about financial aid, scholarships, residential life, campus security and more.
The cost of the class is $50 per student, with lunch included. The deadline for application is Friday. Scholarships are available for free and reduced lunch eligible students. Parents can register for the Parent Workshop with their students. You must pre-register to take the ACT prep course.
Those interested can register and pay online at www.gcccks.edu/actworkshop/ or can contact Leslie Wenzel at (620) 275-3220, or email her at email@example.com.
