HAVEN - Construction recently started near the intersection of K-96 and Arlington Road on a storage building for Crop Production Services.

The 60-foot-by-120-foot steel-cladding building will chiefly provide flat storage space for bagged seed for Crop Production Services, according to Jeff Brawner, location manager. He said they hoped the structure, with Dan Miller Construction as the builder, would be completed within the next 30 days.

“Not only are we growing in sales but we additionally need storage to house seed that we bag out of our current bulk facility site,” Brawner wrote in a letter to the city. The property is in an industrial zone, and the Haven Planning Commission recommended and the Haven City Commission approved a building permit in January.

Remodeling to create a couple more offices inside the Crop Production Services’ building, next to the construction site, also is taking place.
