ELKHART — Eunice Laverne Turner Talmage Deherrera, 76, of Elkhart, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.

She was the wife of Alex ‘Hito’ Deherrera with whom she shared thirty years of marriage.

She was born April 23, 1941, in Elkhart, to Thelma Roll Turner and Orville Hugh Turner.

She gaduated fom Elkhart High School in 1959. She lived in San Antonio, Texas, Bitburg, Germany and Los Angeles, before moving back to Elkhart.

She is survived by her husband, Alejandro Deherrera; children, Robert Talmage and Theresa Talmage; siblings, Yvonne Turner Fields and Charlie Turner; eight grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Talmage; brothers, Lane Turner and Kenneth Turner; and her parents.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family present, at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart.
