Sedgwick 68, Moundridge 52

SEDGWICK — Neal Bever scored 26 points to lead the Sedgwick Cardinals to a 68-52 win over the Moundridge Wildcats Friday in HOAL play in Sedgwick.

Sedgwick led 31-17 at the half.

“Game was more to Sedgwick's favor and we allowed too many runouts for quick and easy scores and also got kicked on the glass,” Moundridge coach Vance Unrau said. “That can't happen when you play quick/athletic teams that shoot the ball well. We turn right around and face them in the first round of the Canton-Galva Tournament. Looking for a different outcome. We must do a better job of controlling tempo on Tuesday.”

Caleb Carson added 11 points for Sedgwick.

Noah Eichelberger scored 19 points for Moundridge, followed by Brady Helms with 17.

The two teams meet again Tuesday in the Canton-Galva Invitational.
