A masked robber shot a 20-year-old man in the arm early Wednesday morning in Garden City.

According to Garden City police, two masked individuals approached the man before 5 a.m. while he was walking in the 700 block of Elm Street. One of individuals pulled out a gun and demanded money from the man. The man told police he attempted to disarm the robber and was shot in the arm in the process. The man told police the pair fled on foot and he went to his residence to call police.

When police arrived on the scene, they located the man with a gunshot wound to the arm. He was treated and released at St. Catherine Hospital. The man was unable to provide descriptions of the robbers other than that they were wearing masks.
