The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded a boil water advisory for the City of Copeland that had been issued because the city could not maintain the minimum required chlorine residual, which can put a water system at risk for bacterial contamination.

According to the KDHE, samples collected from Copeland’s water supply indicate no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
