The Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the upcoming dates and location for the 2018 Legislative Coffee series, with Saturday being the first chance to hear from state lawmakers.
The Chamber hosts the annual series during each legislative session, which runs from January through at least May. The series, which starts Saturday, will continue on Feb. 17, March 17, April 21 and May 19. Each session will begin at 10 a.m. in Classroom B in the lower level of St. Catherine Hospital.
The Chamber has invited legislators from all over southwest Kansas to attend the public forums. Those legislators include Sen. John Doll, R-Garden City; Sen. Bud Estes, R-Dodge City; Rep. Stephen Alford, R-Ulysses; Rep. Shannon Francis, R-Liberal; Rep. Don Hineman, R-Dighton; Rep. Russ Jenning, R-Lakin; Rep. Leonard Mastroni, R-LaCrosse; Rep. Boyd Orr, R-Fowler; Rep. Bradley Ralph, R-Dodge City; and Rep. John Wheeler, R-Garden City.
The legislative coffee sessions are open to the public, and breakfast is served courtesy of St. Catherine Hospital. There is no cost to attend the event.
