The Garden City Community College Adult Learning Center will have an informational meeting from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday in room room SCSC0011-12 of the Student and Community Services Building.

The purpose of the meeting is to inform potential students of opportunities to enroll in the automotive technology and industrial maintenance programs. Participants with or without a high school diploma, and anyone 16 or older not attending high school, are encouraged to enroll for the 2018 spring semester. Participants will be able to receive a High School Equivalency diploma at the same time they are attending college classes.

The automotive technology program at GCCC offers students a chance to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the workforce in a variety of automotive fields or to continue their education at a four-year program. The National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF) has accredited GCCC’s program. The industrial maintenance technology program offers several avenues of training designed for industry professionals and students looking for a career path.

Space is limited in this orientation session, so schedule with Hector Martinez or Sumner Smith in the Adult Learning Center at (620) 276-7600.
