John Ford’s Techniques of Officiating class at Garden City High School will have Major League Baseball umpire Todd Tichenor, a Holcomb resident, as a guest speaker at 2:10 p.m. Monday.

This past season, he was chosen to work the National League Championship Series and was the home plate umpire in Game 1. In 2016, he worked the National League Division Series, again working home plate in Game 1. He was also an assistant replay official during the 2016 World Series.
