First Friday Artwalk
What: Garden City Arts’ November Artwalk, where participants can come and go at their leisure.
When: 4 p.m. to dark, Garden City Arts and Downtown Vision’s ArtStart. This month features the works of the third- and fourth-grade students of Plymell Elementary School. Mini canvases will be "planted" on stakes in the flower pots between Fulton and Spruce along Main Street.
• 5 to 7 p.m., the Mercer Gallery, located at the GCCC, will be exhibiting work by Joseph Rincones and Emily Chamberlain. Refreshments will be served.
• 5 to 7 p.m., works by Robert Joy will be featured in Patrick Dugan's newly renovated expansion.
• 7 to 9 p.m.: Garden City Arts will feature the artwork of Miguel Rodriguez in his solo show, "The Color of Splendor."

Holiday craft event
What: Garden City Church of the Nazarene’s holiday craft event will feature various local independent businesses and hand-crafted gifts, a silent auction and other vendors exhibiting just in time for Christmas shopping.
When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
Where: Church of the Nazarene, 2720 N. Campus Drive; enter through the east doors.
Banner Art Auction
What: Garden City Downtown Vision’s 10th annual Banner Art Project Auction. The project began 10 years ago as part of Downtown Vision’s goal to improve the downtown streetscapes. This year’s banners feature 21 artists and 46 hand painted banners.
When: 6 p.m. Saturday
Where: Clarion Inn Convention Center, 1911 E. Kansas Ave.
Tickets: Auction tickets are $35 each in advance. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $40. Corporate tables are available for $300. Ticket price includes auction admission, auction preview, a cocktail hour, and a full buffet dinner.
