SUNDAY, AUG. 13

Musical program: High Plains Country Music Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers monthly program at the Memorial Building on Main Street in Lakin. Sign-up will begin at 1 p.m., with the program starting at 2 p.m. All area musicians are welcome to join in. There will be a short break for snacks. Feel free to bring a snack to share. Fulton House tours : The Finney County Historical Society has opened the historic 1884 William Fulton House, located just southwest of the museum inside Lee Richardson Zoo, for tours from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Bible Christian Church 50th Anniversary: Special church service, 10 a.m. Sunday at the church.

Musical variety program: Featuring "The Donnie Bohl Band," 7 p.m. at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St. Open to the public at no charge.
