The Garden City Duplicate Bridge Club had a small game Sunday afternoon playing a 25-board Howell movement. Five pairs worked hard to produce 14 games split between suits and no-trump, plus three of four slams succeeded. Dorothy Bartlett and Virginia Enslow won by one-half point over Jon Kempton and Helen Lee in second.
On Monday, the club played a 28-board movement. Just 15 games could be mustered. Winning was Bartlett and Enslow. Second place went to Jon Craig and Wen Wurst. Mark and Jody Neuman held on to secure third.
The July 31 session had three full tables vying and producing 21 games and one slam. All ended in a first/second tie as Gerry Schultz and Diane Woolwine had the same score as Craig and Wurst and a 57 percent game.
Regular games begin at 7 p.m. Monday and 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St., plus sanctioned games begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, with all bridge players welcome. For partners, call Kempton at (620) 276-2876.

John Bunnell won high in the three tables of double pinochle played Monday at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. Don Dreiling took second place. Third went to Dawn Thiel.
In the two tables of double pinochle played Tuesday, Maybelle Bowen won high, Donna Preston was second and Ruth Dunlap placed third.
