HUGOTON — Mary W. Parrott, 93, of Hugoton, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton.

HUGOTON — Mary W. Parrott, 93, of Hugoton, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton.

She was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Champaign, Ill., to Ralph Edgar and Marjorie Pitsenberger Bushert.

On May 29, 1944, she married Elmer E. Carlson in Chicago. He died June 29, 1989. She married Glenn R. Parrott on Nov. 28, 1998, in Hugoton. He died March 17, 2008. She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bill, Benjamin and Larry Bushert; a sister, Marg Bushert; and a stepson, Allen Parrott.

Survivors include a son, Daniel B. Carlson of Farmington, N.M.; two daughters, Marilyn Crane of Hugoton, and Jan Stickler of Turpin, Okla.; a stepson, Robert Parrott of Conroe, Texas; a stepdaughter, Andree Halden of Burlington, Iowa; a sister, Darlene Franklin of Flatwoods, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, Hugoton. Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery.

Visitation hours are noon to 2 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Paul's Funeral Home, Hugoton.
