SYRACUSE — Martha Elizabeth Holland Cave, 71, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

SYRACUSE — Martha Elizabeth Holland Cave, 71, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

She was born Oct. 9, 1942, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to Clarance Jacob and Neatha Ruth Brewer Holland. She graduated in 1960 from Shenandoah High School in Shenandoah, Iowa.

A former resident of Coolidge, Mrs. Cave moved to Garden City in 1998 for six years, then returned here in 2009.

She married Edmond Everette Cave on July 31, 1966, in Rural Center, Colo. He preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a stepdaughter, Kathy Dowen; two sisters, Sharon Ruth Livengood and Doris Eckleman; and a grandson.

She is survived by a son, Russell Cave of Garden City; two daughters, Neatha Fegley of Nixa, Mo., and Elisabeth Cave of Garden City; three stepsons, Mike Pelc of Williamsburg, Colo., Jimmy Adams of DeQueen, Ark., and Darrell Pelc of Springdale, Ark.; and several grandchildren.

Visitation is 1 to 3 p.m. MST today at Fellers Funeral Home LLC, Syracuse. Graveside service is 2:30 p.m. MST Saturday at Coolidge Cemetery in Coolidge.
