Jack Eslick

ULYSSES — Jack Eslick, 84, of Ulysses, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.

He was born Nov. 5, 1928, in Walsh, Colo., to Earl and Leota Hannafious Eslick. He graduated from Walsh High School.

Mr. Eslick had worked at various farm-related jobs since 1976. For many years, he also trained race horses and was involved in horse racing.

Survivors include two sons, Courtney Eslick of Ulysses, and Shane Eslick of Lakin; a daughter, Jackie Peters of Great Bend; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Garold, Cecil, Mildred Janney, Alfred, Harold, Calvin, Jack and Harley.

A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses.

Memorials are suggested to the Big Orange Boosters, in care of the funeral home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880.
