SYRACUSE — Robert "Frosty" Fross, 63, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at his home in Hamilton County.

SYRACUSE — Robert "Frosty" Fross, 63, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at his home in Hamilton County.

He was born July 4, 1950, in Garden City, to William and Dena Laura Norton Fross. He graduated from Deerfield High School.

Mr. Fross had worked for gas companies all of his career. He moved to Syracuse in the 1980s and was a well checker for OK Natural Gas Company.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Kathy Gilbert of Syracuse; a daughter, Misty Fross Wiede of Little Rock, Ark.; a son, Lance J. Fross Wiede of Chicago; a sister, Ann Steele of Garden City; and two brothers, Frank Fross of Alvin, Neb., and Tom Fross of Ocala, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private graveside service will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City.
