ULYSSES — Vicki Kirby, 68, of Ulysses, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.

ULYSSES — Vicki Kirby, 68, of Ulysses, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.

She was born Sept. 27, 1945, in Cheyenne Wells, Colo., to Russell and Mary Lou Johnson Ryser. She graduated from school in Cheyenne Wells.

She married Carl David Kirby in Colorado Springs, Colo. He preceded her in death as did her parents and a sister, Dana Gerstner.

A Ulysses resident for two and a half years, Mrs. Kirby had worked as a bookkeeper.¬ 

Survivors include a stepson, Jon Kirby; two brothers, Randall Ryser of McCook, Neb., and Kelly Ryser of Mora, N.M.; two sisters, Pat Feezor of Ulysses, and Carmen Medina of Sublette; and four grandchildren.

Rosary service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 13 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses. Memorial Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 13 at the church. Inurnment will be in May at Christmas Tree Canyon Cemetery in Mora.

Memorials are suggested to Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880.
