SCOTT CITY — Billy L. Curtis, 73, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays.
He was born on March 23, 1939, to Clarence Willie and Vera Merle Conner Curtis, in Ness County.
A longtime resident of Scott City, Mr. Curtis was the owner and operator of Curtis Trucking in Scott City.
In 1957, he married Wilda Jean Deighton in Dighton. He later married Betty Lou Johnson in 1967 in Liberal.
He was preceded in death by is parents; one sister, Twila Howard; and one great grandson, Keaton Miller.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Jacobs, Scott City; two stepdaughters, Pam Adams of Pueblo West, Colo., and Penny Sparksof Branson, Mo.; one brother, Robert Curtis of Ransom; one sister, Patty Steffens of Imperial, Calif.; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Scott City.
Inurnment will take place in the Utica Cemetery at a later date.
There will be no calling times.
