Holiday grieving program Dec. 10

To assist those struggling with grief over the holidays, Hospice of St. Catherine Hospital will present "A Blue Christmas. Finding the Silver Lining in the Midst of Grief" from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 10 at St. Catherine Hospice, 602 N. Sixth St.

St. Catherine Hospice offers grief education, support groups, special memorial services and an annual bereavement family retreat in addition to a resource library.

Guests can visit the hospicee main office or call (800) 281-4077 or (620) 272-2519 for a complete listing of grief support offerings.

Victor Ornelas carnival tonight

Victor Ornelas Elementary School will be having a carnival from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the school cafeteria and gymnasium.

There will be a number of activities offered for the whole family, including games, food, music and prizes. Tickets will be sold at the door for a quarter each.
