ULYSSES — Lyn Kepley, 89, of Ulysses, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
She was born May 23, 1923, in Hart, Mich., to Arthur and Cecil Olson.
In 1945, she married Cecil "Kep" Kepley in Washington, D.C. He died July 1, 2006. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arthur Olson.
A Ulysses resident since 1945, Mrs. Kepley and her husband opened Kep's Toggery in March 1946 and ran that business for 47 years before selling out in 1993. She served in the U.S. Navy, WAVES, during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Kendall Kepley of Garden City, and Bradley Kepley of Olathe; a brother, George Olson of Claremore, Okla.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's Episcopal Church in Ulysses. Inurnment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery.
