Nancy Pittman

Nancy Carol Pittman, 70, of Wichita, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

She was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Liberal, to Harland and Mae Fuller Neese. She attended Liberal High School.

A lifetime resident of Liberal before moving to Wichita in 2008, Mrs. Pittman was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing golf, cooking and decorating her home. She was member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Elks Lodge and Country Club of Liberal.

On Dec. 11, 1970, she married Richard Pittman in Liberal. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Mike Wares and wife Mary of Wichita, and Mark Wares of El Dorado; a stepson, Chris Pittman and wife Kim of Lakewood, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Richelle Harnish and husband Dean of Castle Rock, Colo.; three sisters, Doris Gordon and husband Jimmy of Missouri, Charlene Miller and husband Loyd of Hardesty, Okla., and Edwina Neese of Garden City; and 13 grandchildren, Amber, Tabitha, Mikey, Paige, Brandon, Katrina, Dylan, Dustin, Krystal, Breanna, Cody, Robert and Sheryl. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harland Neese Jr., Jerry Neese and Dean Neese; six sisters, Elenor Neese, Margaret Hinz, Helen Brisco, Clara Neese, Irene Crowder and Isabel Witzke; and a stepson, Robert Pittman.

Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberal, with Pastor Tyler Prater presiding. Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery in Liberal.

There will be no visitation and the casket will be closed. The guest register book will be available to sign from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Brenneman Funeral Home, Liberal. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brennemanfuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions may be sent to Fellowship Baptist Church of Liberal, in care of the funeral home, 1212 W. Second, Liberal, KS 67901.
