John Torres

ROLLA — John Louis Torres, 60, of Rolla, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.He was born April 4, 1952, in Seguin, Texas, to Joe and Victoria Gonzales Torres.
On June 9, 1973, he married Alma Estrada in Hereford, Texas. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, Juan "JT" Torres, Eric Torres and Jonathan Gabriel Torres, all of Rolla, and Louis Torres of Amarillo, Texas; a daughter, Monica Torres of Texahoma, Okla.; his mother, of Hereford; four brothers, Joe Torres Jr. of Houston, Armando Torres of Hereford, Danny Torres of Lubbock, Texas, and David Torres of Midland, Texas; two sisters, Dianna Torres of Hereford, and Sylvia Ramirez of Andrews, Texas; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother, Ricky.
Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church, Rolla.
Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Paul's Funeral Home, Hugoton, with the family receiving friends at 6:30 p.m.
