Robert Schmidt

MONTEZUMA — Robert Schmidt, 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Bethel Home in Montezuma.

He was born Sept. 22, 1934, to Walter and Della (Unruh) Schmidt in Montezuma.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Richard Schmidt; and three sisters, Marjorie Schmidt, Margaret Unruh Hebert and Opal Dirks.

Survivors include one brother, Dale Schmidt of Montezuma; and one sister, Regean Schmidt of Deridder, La.

Funeral services will be held at the North Montezuma Mennonite Church at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow at Montezuma Mennonite Church Cemetery. Visitation will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Montezuma and from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday at Bethel Home in Montezuma. Memorials are suggested to Bethel Home in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 421, Montezuma, Kansas, 67867.
