ULYSSES — Juan Garcia, 49, of Lakin, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin.
He was born Jan. 10, 1964, in Lockney, Texas, to Ernesto and Esperanza (Garcia) Garcia.
Mr. Garcia worked for Micro Solutions mixing chemicals and also was a rodeo clown.
Survivors include a son, Preston Carr of Garden City; his mother, of Ulysses; three brothers, Wally Garcia of Garden City, and Luis and Ernie Garcia, both of Ulysses; three sisters, Mary Valdez and Irene Garcia Nieto, both of Ulysses, and Salome Perez of Lakin; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents; and a sister, Pauline Garcia.
Vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel, Ulysses. Funeral Mass will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses. Burial will follow at Ulysses Cemetery.
