Edna Marie Burroughs, 82, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.
She was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Billings, Okla., to Franklin F.A. and Mabel E. Major Blocker.
A homemaker, Mrs. Burroughs had been a resident of Garden City since 1959.
On July 30, 1947, she married Gaylord Leroy Burroughs in Perry, Okla. He died Aug. 29, 2012, in Garden City. She also was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Gayle, John and Dale Burroughs; two brothers, Charles and Leroy Blocker; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include a son, Charles and Carla Burroughs of Garden City; a daughter, Donna and Donnie McAnally of Ulysses; two daughters-in-law, Aneda Burroughs of Edmund, Okla., and RenÃ© Biel of Pleasanton, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. today at First Assembly Of God Church in Garden City. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
