RICHFIELD — Clara E. Dunn, 87, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Morton County Care Center in Elkhart.
She was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Clinton, Okla., to Sherman and Gladys Slagle Grubb. She graduated from Clinton High School.
Mrs. Dunn taught school in Custer County, Okla., and in Richfield.
On Nov. 23, 1949, she married C. Eldon Dunn in Clayton, N.M. He died Dec. 19, 2008. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roger Dunn; a brother, Sherman Grubb II; and a sister. Lily Cannon.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Dunn of Elkhart, and Duane Dunn of Liberal; a daughter, Nancy Leonard of Lone Wolf, Okla.; a brother, John Grubb of Arkansas; two sisters, Velma Carrol of Alabama, and Catherine Hefner of Washington; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Richfield United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Richfield Cemetery.
Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home, Elkhart. Memorials are suggested to Richfield United Methodist Church or Morton County 4-H Foundation, both in care of the funeral home, Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
