ULYSSES — Kenneth Martin Lozar Sr., 68, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at his home in Kirbyville, Mo.

ULYSSES — Kenneth Martin Lozar Sr., 68, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at his home in Kirbyville, Mo.

He was born Feb. 11, 1944, in Ulysses, to Cleo Horse and Leota Popejoy Lozar. He graduated from Ulysses High School.

On Feb. 7, 1964, he married Judith Ann Downey in Garden City.

A Missouri resident for 17 years, Mr. Lozar worked for B & L doing small engine repair.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two children, Kenneth Lozar Jr. of Ulysses, and Karin Gwin of Quapaw, Okla.; two sisters, Shirley Wise of Ulysses, and Cleota Burns of Garden City; five grandsons; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Lozar; and two sisters, Connie Lawson and Lorraine Simpson.

Funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses. Burial will follow at Ulysses Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
