Rupert Leslie "Les" Bencini II, 71, of Monroeville, Pa., died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014.

He was born July 1, 1942, to Rupert L. and Margaret Campbell Bencini.

A former Garden City resident, Mr. Bencini was a 1960 graduate of Garden City High School. He earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and was an engineer with Westinghouse Nuclear. He was a member of the USGA, The Club in Monroeville and Willow Brook Country Club. He enjoyed tennis, golf, squash and listening to opera arias.

Survivors include a brother, Denzel Keith Bencini and his wife Paula Sue; his nieces, Natalie K. Decker and her husband William, and Hillary Rae Amos and her husband Shelby; a grandnephew, Nathaniel Decker; and a host of good friends.

Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Gene H. Corl Inc. Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services of Monroeville, 4335 Northern Pike, with a service following at 2 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Private burial will take place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
