Fredonia Fischer

Fredonia Alberta "Fritz" (Wilson) Fischer died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013.

She born Oct. 16, 1927, in Gove County.

On March 7, 1948, she married Frederick Neil "Fred" Fischer in Oakley. He preceded her in death as did a son, Roger Fischer.

A Garden City resident for 26 years, moving from Oakley, Mrs. Fischer was a manager of Hallmark Cards and Gifts in Garden City. A Methodist, she attended nondenominational services at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. She volunteered at Garden City Community College and St. Catherine Hospital.

Survivors include two sons, Ron Fischer of Billings, Mont., and Greg Fischer of Stafford, Va.; a sister, Eula Baxtor of Hays; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Oakley.
