Leonora "Lorri" Fife, 90, of Garden City, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in Mesa, Ariz.
She was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Wessington Springs, S.D., to Rosswell and Gladys Martindale Wright. She graduated from high school in Highmore, S.D.
On June 1, 1942, she married Leo Fife in Bay City, Mich. He died Dec. 19, 2009. She also was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
A Garden City resident since 1954, Mrs. Fife had worked as a bookkeeper for Porter Lumber, Standard Supply and Wheatfields On Main.
Survivors include two daughters, Jan Kleysteuber of Garden City, and Joni Milstead of Branson, Mo.; a son, Jerry Fife of Sun City, Ariz.; a brother, Harry Wright of Ottumwa, Iowa; three sisters, Katherine Prey of West Branch, Mich., Margaret McKittrick of Webster, S.D., and Gladys Williams of Sun City; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City. A second service will begin at 2 p.m. Jan. 27 at Golden Vista Resort, 3710 S. Goldfield Road in Apache Junction, Ariz.
