SCOTT CITY — Elwyn Max Armstrong, 94, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

SCOTT CITY — Elwyn Max Armstrong, 94, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

He was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Earlham, Iowa, to William and Iva McKibben Armstrong.

Mr. Armstrong was a rancher. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.

On June 26, 1954, he married Sylvia J. Clark in Medicine Lodge. She died Aug. 14, 2000. He also was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael.

Survivors include a son, Jerry of Garden City; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, with military honors conducted.

Memorials to the donor's choice may be sent in care of Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.
