Auditions for 'Annie' begin Monday

Garden City Recreation Commission will conduct auditions next week for its spring musical, "Annie," by Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin.

Garden City Recreation Commission will conduct auditions next week for its spring musical, "Annie," by Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin.

Auditions will take place in Clifford Hope Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday (you need only attend one night).

Those auditioning are asked to memorize a 30-second monologue (paragraph, short story or poem) and a one-minute song selection (CD accompaniment only). They also need to be available on March 27 in case callbacks are needed.

Rehearsals will start with a read-through on March 31 and will continue with two or three rehearsals each week.
