The USD 457 Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in Board Meeting Room of the Educational Support Center, 1205 Fleming St.

Discussion item includes the multi-tiered systems of support.

MTSS is a term used in Kansas to describe how schools go about providing support for each child in their building to be successful and the processes and tools teachers use to make decisions, according to kansasmtss.org.

The goal of MTSS is to identify and address students who have different needs according to different tiers, Assistant Superintendent Darren Dennis.

In new business, the board will discuss a request to name the courtyard at Horace J. Good Middle School after Norman S. Clark.

The next board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, March 4, in the same location.
