DUI saturation patrol scheduled for today

The Garden City Police Department will be conducting a DUI saturation patrol today.

The patrol will take place within the city limits of Garden City.

The purpose is to saturate pre-designated areas with additional police officers that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving.

The patrols also place an emphasis on other alcohol-related violations, speeding and safety belt usage.

Cost of the saturation patrol is covered through the Impaired Driving Deterrence Program grant provided by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
